estoy enfermo, lo reconozco, mi enfermedad es una adiccion... adictiva

si, es adictivo, muy adictivo, tanto que me afecta mas de lo que deberia, me vuelve compulsivo, con sudores frios, nervios incontrolables y un corazon agitado son sus sintomas, cada vez que me pasa pierdo la cabeza, no puedo evitarlo

mi enfermedad es grave, muy extrema, a alguna gente le parece bien, pero a otras...

mi enfermedad es una obsesion, se la conoce como Beatlemania

es muy... duro, ya me entiendes, es ver algo minimamente relacionado con los Beatles y ¡ZAS!, a comprarlo en el acto siempre que el dinero me alcance, o en su defecto ir corriendo al banco mas cercano a por mas... pero todo tiene un límite, y muchas veces tengo que pensarme muy bien si merece la pena gastarse tanto

ayer no, para nada, eran unos 3 eurillos, lo vi por casualidad, en un kiosco cerca de la facultad, al igual que hicieron meses anteriores revistas como Uncut o Mojo, este mes de diciembre la rolling stones española dedica un articulo al 40 aniversario del disco Beatle mas vendido, el conocido como el album blanco, asi que, irremediablemente, lo compre

mis sintomas se habian pasado, ya tranquilo, llegue a casa y me puse a leer la revista, nunca me ha gustado, es muy muy comercial, tirando a amarillista, como la gran mayoria de lo editado por prisa, pero son los Beatles y se deja leer hasta que...

...hasta que...

.... Leo lo siguiente "Eric Clapton salvó la cancion de George" refiriendose a While My Guitar Gently Weeps, en letras grandes de titular y varias veces a lo largo del articulo, a lo que yo me pregunto ¿se habra documentado Josu Lapresa o es fan de Clapton? ¿o simplemente ve que hay guitarra de Clapton y se inventa el resto para justificarlo? porque mucha historia Beatle no conoce

en el 68 los beatles estaban como estaban,y un dia llega el bueno de George Harrison al estudio, que estaba vacio, y graba la canción con una guitarra acústica, pieza que se puede encontrar facilmente en el Anthology y que ha sido utilizada para el Love con un cuarteto de cuerda al final, lo dejó grabado y se fué

en esto que luego llega George Martin, ve que se ha pasado George y lo escucha, y lo flipó en colores, cuando vinieron el resto de los Beatles tambien lo fliparon, ya que fue cuando se dieron cuenta que George podria ser (y lo fue) un gran compositor, tanto que entre Lennon y McCartney añadieron un par de versos a la cancion y estribillo, y decidieron grabarla, ya que es un album doble y hay sitio para todos, al fin y al cabo, si iba a entrar Revolution 9 no podian dejar While My Guitar Gently Weeps fuera

así llegamos al dia de la grabación, antes estaba George con su amigo Eric Clapton y George le dice que le quiere en la canción, con lo que ahora el que flipa es Clapton, "tocar con los Beatles, y ademas en su siguiente disco, es algo de lo que me siento muy afortunado" diria años después

total, que llegan al estudio y George da instrucciones muy precisas de como quiere que suene su guitarra, en esta sesion es de las pocas en las que estuvieron presentes todos los Beatles a la vez en este disco, al finalizar la sesion Clapton comentó "no entiendo por qué me habeis pedido esto, suena demasiado a mi, no a Beatle y mucho menos a George"

y esta es la historia de por qué la revista miente y esta es la historia de lo que realmente sucedió en torno a tan maravillosa canción

Por Ultimo, recordaros que mañana se cumpliran 7 años del triste fallecimiento del gran George Harrison, asi que recomiendo rendirle tributando escuchando alguna cancion suya al menos, o si no un disco o un concierto a su memoria
